SOAR as an Effective Community-based Response in Anti-Trafficking Movements

Grounded in the narratives of women from rural communities who were forced to migrate Kathmandu, capital Nepal, and later India, this paper critically examines meaningful involvement trafficking survivors for sexual exploitation anti-trafficking movement Nepal. Using SOAR (Stop, Observe, Ask, Respond) model, explores community-based responses address issues human post-trafficking. This is guided by migratory intersectionality frameworks. frameworks, Participatory Action Research (PAR), a transformative an empowerment methodology, was conducted with eight female exploited exploitation. PAR used understand intersectional gender oppression escalated vulnerability made “doubly victimized” their post trafficking.
